““We had a brilliant morning and really enjoyed all the exciting activities you planned for us. When we got back to school, we couldn’t stop talking about all the fun things we did and all the new things we had learnt!“
Ella’s Kitchen Visits
We are delighted to be working with organic food company Ella’s Kitchen! Their fantastic support enables us to give 1000 children a year the opportunity to spend a half a day with us learning about food growing and half a day at Rushall Farm getting up close with the farm animals!
The children do lots of sensory based activities such as the feely box challenge, food tasting, the worm competition and much more!
“We just wanted to say thank you so much for the amazing visit funded by Ella’s Kitchen. The children (and staff!!) had an amazing time and we really appreciated it. It was such a valuable learning experience.”
Five a Day Market Garden is a fantastic venue for children and young people. It offers a safe environment for children to enjoy practical and hands on activities based around growing food, getting up close with wildlife and learning about sustainability (in a fun way of course). We can also incorporate Eco Art in the sessions as well. The garden is situated within the beautiful Englefield Estate and has plentiful parking.
These sessions can be offered as a half day session at Five a Day and then half a day with our partner Rushall Farm where they will learn about animal farming.
Costs for visits depend on the number of children and how many hours are spent in the garden but a typical cost is £5-7 per child for a half day visit. We work closely with a local coach firm who offer reasonable rates if a coach is required for the visit.
